Statistics
Teen suicide is a growing crisis. According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10-24. The suicide rate among teens has been rising over the past decade. In 2017 alone, there were 1,839 suicides among ages 15-19, making it the second most common cause of death for that age group. Overall, 17.2% of high school students report having seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year.
These alarming statistics demonstrate why our mission of teen suicide prevention is so urgently needed in our communities. By providing education, resources, and support, we aim to reverse these trends and save young lives. But we need your help. Please consider donating or getting involved today.
